and app (app.nomstash.com). By using NomStash, you agree to these Terms.
Who Can Use NomStash
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, you should use NomStash with parental or guardian involvement.
Accounts and Authentication
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- App sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
If you believe your account is compromised, contact us immediately.
User Responsibilities
- Use NomStash lawfully and responsibly.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineering, or abuse of the service.
- Do not upload harmful code or content that infringes others' rights.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you submit (for example recipes, meal plans, inventory records, and account data). You give us permission to host and process that content to operate and improve NomStash.
Intellectual Property
The NomStash service, branding, and software are owned by TraitSpan or its licensors. Except where law allows, you may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the service without permission.
Privacy, Cookies, and Analytics
Your use of NomStash is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. We use required technologies for authentication and optional analytics based on your consent choices.
Availability and Changes
We aim to keep NomStash available, but we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.
Important Disclaimers
NomStash provides food planning, inventory tracking, and organization tools. The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee specific outcomes such as cost savings, nutritional improvements, or health results.
No health, medical, or nutritional advice
NomStash is not a nutritionist, dietitian, or healthcare provider. We do not provide medical, health, dietary, or nutritional advice of any kind. Any information displayed in the app — including recipe content, ingredient data, portion suggestions, portion sizes, and cost estimates — is for general informational and organizational purposes only and should not be treated as professional health, dietary, or nutritional guidance. Always consult a qualified health professional for advice relating to your health or diet.
Feeding infants, children, and weaning
NomStash includes portion size categories (such as baby, child, and adult) as organizational labels only. These labels do not constitute guidance on appropriate portion sizes, food types, textures, or preparation methods for infants, babies, toddlers, or children of any age.
If you are weaning an infant, feeding a baby or young child, or preparing food for anyone with specific dietary needs, it is entirely your responsibility to ensure that all food is nutritionally appropriate, safe in texture and consistency, free from choking hazards, and suitable for the individual's age and developmental stage. NomStash does not provide weaning guidance, baby-led weaning advice, or any recommendations on what is safe or appropriate for children to eat.
Always seek guidance from a qualified health visitor, paediatrician, or registered dietitian for infant and child feeding decisions. NomStash accepts no liability for any harm arising from food prepared for or given to infants or children based on information in the service.
Allergies, intolerances, and dietary requirements
NomStash does not verify, guarantee, or provide warnings about allergens, food intolerances, or dietary suitability. It is your sole responsibility to:
- Check all ingredients for allergens or substances that may affect you or anyone you are cooking for.
- Verify that recipes and meal plans are suitable for any allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements you or others may have.
- Not rely on NomStash as a source of allergen information, whether for recipes you create, import, or view.
NomStash accepts no liability for allergic reactions, adverse health effects, or any harm arising from the consumption of food prepared using information from the service.
Pricing estimates and cost comparisons
NomStash displays estimated ingredient costs and ready meal price comparisons for informational purposes only. These estimates are based on typical UK supermarket prices at the time of review and may not reflect current prices in your area. Prices may vary by store, region, product availability, and time of purchase.
Cost comparisons and estimated savings are approximate and are not a guarantee of actual savings. NomStash does not endorse, represent, or act on behalf of any retailer. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any pricing information displayed. You should verify prices independently before making purchasing decisions.
Recipe content and accuracy
Recipes in NomStash may be created by you, imported from third-party websites, or processed using AI-assisted extraction. We do not review, verify, or endorse the accuracy, safety, completeness, or suitability of any recipe content, including ingredients, quantities, cooking methods, temperatures, or timings.
AI-assisted recipe extraction may introduce errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing all recipe content before use and ensuring that cooking methods and instructions are safe and appropriate.
If a recipe method appears incorrect, unclear, or potentially dangerous, do not follow it. Exercise your own judgement at all times.
Food safety
NomStash provides tools to help track what you store and when, but it does not replace proper food safety practices. You are responsible for:
- Following safe food handling, preparation, storage, freezing, and defrosting practices.
- Checking that frozen food is safe to consume, properly stored, and within safe timeframes.
- Not relying solely on NomStash inventory dates or reminders to determine whether food is safe to eat.
NomStash does not guarantee the safety or edibility of any food item tracked in the service. Defrost reminders and storage dates are informational aids only.
Kitchen safety
Cooking and food preparation involve inherent risks including but not limited to burns, scalds, cuts, slips, choking hazards, and exposure to hot surfaces, sharp implements, and kitchen equipment. NomStash is not responsible for any injury, harm, or damage that occurs during cooking, food preparation, or any related activity.
You are responsible for maintaining a safe environment when preparing food, supervising children and vulnerable individuals in the kitchen, and following appropriate safety precautions at all times. If you are serving food to children, be aware of choking hazards and ensure food is prepared in an age-appropriate manner.
Third-party content and services
NomStash may display or link to content from third-party sources, including imported recipes and external websites. We do not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for third-party content, products, or services. Your use of third-party services (such as Google Calendar integration) is subject to those services' own terms and policies.
Your responsibility
You acknowledge that you use NomStash at your own risk. You are solely responsible for the decisions you make based on information in the app, including what you cook, how you cook it, what you eat, and what you serve to others. NomStash is a planning and organizational tool — it is not a substitute for your own judgement, common sense, or professional advice.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, NomStash and TraitSpan are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to:
- Illness, allergic reactions, or adverse health effects from food prepared using information from NomStash.
- Injury sustained during cooking or food preparation.
- Losses arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or AI-generated recipe content.
- Losses arising from reliance on pricing estimates, cost comparisons, or estimated savings displayed in the service.
- Losses arising from reliance on inventory dates, reminders, or other informational features.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached or where required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of NomStash after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
