We built Nomstash for our own freezer.

We batch cook. Nomstash is the tool we wanted for it: one plan for the cook day, a priced shop, a label on every container and a nudge each evening about what to move to the fridge.

Why we made it

A good cook day fills the freezer. Then the questions start. What’s in that container? How old is it? We’ve got a freezer full of food, so why is nobody sure what’s for dinner at six o’clock?

Nomstash answers those questions. It plans the cook day, prices the shop at our supermarket, puts a label on every container, keeps count of the freezer, oldest first, and tells us each evening what to move to the fridge. We use it in our own kitchen, on our own freezer.

Five rules we build by

Cook once.
Everything in Nomstash has to save you a cook, a shop or a decision. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t go in.
Show the money.
In pounds, never percentages, and only from real prices at your supermarket.
Nothing goes in the bin.
The oldest container comes out first, and leftovers are planned onto another night instead of forgotten.
Real kitchens.
Full freezers and busy evenings. We plan for the household you have, not the one on Instagram.
Show, don’t tell.
We’d rather show you the label, the priced shop and tonight’s dinner than tell you how good the app is.

How Nomstash pays its way

Nomstash is free during founding access, while we build it with our first households. A paid plan will come later. Nobody pays anything without being told the price first.

We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising. Here’s what founding access includes.

Who we are

Nomstash is made by TraitSpan, a company based in the UK.
